We have the WHOLE fairgrounds? I haven't been to Litchfield Fair in years (since I used to show cattle 10 years ago!) and can't remember how big the fair ground is or what it has for buildings.

Some directions...
Physical address is 44 Plains Road. From I-95 get off at the Richmond/Litchfield Exit. Turn on Route 197 (away from Richmond). At the Litchfield four corners turn right.

Is there a rental fee, mmajw?

Yes we have the whole FairGrounds all to ourselves and NO RENTAL FEE.

ETA:
Well he is trying to get NO Fee for us. He said that he saw NO reason to charge us but he had to clear it. Looks good so far

Hey girl You are a miricle worker!!!! Wooohooo! Let me know what we can do, Bob won't be able to make it- he works weekends but now I know most of you, I can run around there and ask them if they know about BYC! lol.
I noticed a number of new names.
We should advertise at the TCS 's that are in Maine. I wonder if we could each place an add in our local news papers (I dunno if they charge but what the heck!) I bet we could get a lot of folks to join in.
Even take a dollar donation from all those that are coming to give it to the fair grounds as a donation.
Did the NH Chicken stock make much for donations? I dunno, but it was so fun.
Thank you NHer BYC's for the wonderful day- it was so much fun and I hope I didn't let anyone down by not giving any readings (shame on me)! If you do want a reading, leave me a message and I'll see about it!!!!

We had the raffle I think...several of us donated to the raffle...and then we sold tickets to the raffle.

I thought DH bought tickets and he thought I bought tickets...so we missed out on the raffle!!

But I did donate soap to the raffle...I'll do the same for Maine Chicken Stock.

Well lets start a list of what people will be bringing to sell, trade.

Also a list of what are looking for to buy or trade for.

I am bringing a couple 2 month old Roosters to sell.

I am looking for a young SLW pullet or hen.

I'll be bringing my SOAP to sell...

And 2 gorgeous pheasants free to good home!!

I'll probably have chicks of some sort. Am going to print up a bunch of those brochures I made and bring those, too. Maybe we should see if a 4-H club from the area wants to have a food booth open so we can all get some lunch and stuff...instead of one person footing the bill for everyone. That the 4-H club will get to raise some money, too.

Spook, No Milford did not break even...it was a labor of love and a first time experiment! We had donations that were purchased by attendees. If we could have beat the crowds, the food might have had a better chance at being sold! Would I do food again...if it was a Chicken Stock, yeah, but I would figure out another scenario! If it was a chicken swap, maybe just soda and water!!!
