Youth Program
On Sunday, April 17th, we will be offering our annual Youth (and anyone else interested) Education Program. This will take place on the same day as our monthly club meeting. Austin Brann will be available starting at 10:30 a.m. to do Pullurom testing on your birds. Coffee will be available. Feel free to bring birds along for tailgate sales and swaps (only members can sell).
At 11:00 a.m., we will begin the education program. Sarah Castle, one of our premier Junior exhibitors, will talk about the top 5 things a competitor should focus on in preparing for showmanship. Allison Flagg will teach the parts of a chicken and parts of a duck, with real birds to demonstrate. These are things all poultry enthusiasts should know. Linda Blackman will touch upon general guidelines for poultry show room etiquette.
You don't have to be a member to attend this program. All are invited.
Meetings are held at the Evening Star Grange Hall in Washington Maine.
Which is located on the south side of the Old Union road at the intersection of Bill Luce road and Old Union road in Washington off route 220.
The building opens at 11:00 am for coffee and conversation.
Pot Luck lunch at Noon.
Meeting at 1:00 pm followed by an auction.
(please bring an auction item donation, all proceeds helps to pay for hall rental expenses.)
come to bid on who knows what, sometimes it's birds, hatching eggs, plants, antique glass ware and just last month, I won some groceries!!
Austin will be able to test birds at all meetings.
