Maine

There are also Large Blacks at a farm in Fryeburg. I forget the name, but it shouldn't be hard to track down.

It's snowing like mad here in Temple.

The plows have already gone through and I'd say we have at least 4 inches.

And I have incubators hatching!!!!

Snowing hard here in Hartford, I'd say we have at least 6 inches already. I opened the coops up and they stuck there head out and turned around. Guess I will do some shoveling so they will come out a bit. I wish I could have a covered run but area is way to big, I just shovel about a 10 foot area. Temps are suppose to rise again so hopefully some will melt.

I packed away my incubators till March, I just don't have the room to keep babies this time of year. Incubators will run nonstop after that till Sept.

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

4" here in Standish. I don't think it will last through the weekend in southern Maine.

Anybody interested in a Partridge Chantecler rooster? Couple years old, not at all aggressive, in fact something of a coward.

Whew! I have made it through a week without losing any chickens. We are holding steady at 5 for right now. I hope that stays steady through the winter!

I think we easily have over 6 inches already this morning. I opened the door to the coop, and I swear that they all glared at me!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!

about 3" here in albion. chickens decided to stay in. everyone don't forget the central maine bird fanciers auction this sunday in washington. roads should be good and clear by then. 1:30ish pm( after the club meeting). we have 3 bags of layer crumbles, a door prize and hopefully many other items. (if your a club member, please remember to bring or send in your items). this is to help the club raise money for the oil heating bill so every bit helps and hopefully you'll get some nice items.
