Some of the bushes have only been there for only 2 years, and those bushes just get a handful of berries. Other bushes have been transplanted there after barely surviving years of neglect (bad soil, crazy weeds). The older bushes were small when we transplanted them, but took off with the correct soil and some light. They are the plants with the heaviest fruit load.

We are about to head off to see the full solar eclipse! Seems crazy, but DH is set on it, and I'm on vacation, so off I go!

I have 2 huge apple trees on my property. I know they are in serious need of being pruned. Planned to do that this fall. Now I am going to be recovering from double hernia surgery around that time.
One of my black Australorp has started laying. Got 5 eggs today.

Yesteerday was an awesome day. Got my first egg out of an Australorp and I also have chicks hatching out. I have 4 out of 11 little easter eggs hatched already with at least 3 more in process of hatching.
