Maine

I Am amazed at how many of the chicks I have hatched this year that were way early. Last batch the five that lived were hatched on days 19 and 20. So far out of this batch of eight 6 have been hatched on days 17 and 18 and one is pipped and should be hatched today leaving just one egg remaining of that batch

Can she share her recipe?

Okay, sorry it took a little longer than expected. She uses Wellness Mama's essential oil recipe bug spray:
https://wellnessmama.com/2565/homemade-bug-spray/

I really like WM's work that I've read, but her website has gotten a LOT more annoying than the last time I was there! She offers a caution about applying essential oil-based things on skin (in detail here https://wellnessmama.com/26519/essential-oils-risks/).

When I had clothing to put it on, I did that - I just don't like putting things on my skin in general! But when working with your hands (say using a table saw or other power tools) you very well may not have the luxury of swatting flies - especially from hands/face/neck, etc.

So I used this stuff on my skin a lot (especially face, neck, ears, and hands) last year and it didn't bother me at all. But I have confirmed I do NOT have sensitive skin, so test prudently.

I found this stuff to be more effective and far more comfortable than Deep Woods Off. As I mentioned earlier, the only downside with it was when working and sweating it tends to only last about 30 minutes. If you're cool and not sweaty maybe 60-90 minutes. But I found it was worth the hassle of re-application.

Your mileage may vary :)

Up to 14 chicks from three hatchings. Also have another 7 of current group pipped. Lol hoping to sell some locally otherwise I just doubled the size of my flock.
Beautiful chicks too loving all the color variety. Very pleased with the EE x Australorps hatched so far.

10 or 11 chicks hatched. Doubled my flock size. Hoping I can sell most of these.
Unfortunately I have 2 sick ones. One that hasn't fully absorbed yolk. That one seems to be doing really well. Matter of fact out of all the chicks ever it's super friendly running over and huddling under my hand.
Other sick one has a serious balance issues along With the fact it won't open it's eyes.
Overall many healthy ones. Second one I've hatched with the balance issue .The other one was worse and died within a day. Thinking it may be a genetic issue since may have same mother as the first.
