There were two turkeys listed for free, and like hoppy said, they needed to be gone or were going to be stew....

if any of you are looking for call duck hatching eggs, I just posted an auction on the 24 hour thread. ends tomorrow night (24 1/2 hours but who's counting?)
https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/330991/crazy-24hr-auction/8670#post_10350115

my first duckling from this group is due to hatch this week and I have 3 more due in 2? weeks and crazy me, just set 8 more this morning. the only way I can stop myself is to sell the eggs so here they are.

Ugh, sorry my phone is goofy for posting!

I was trying to say, took out 7 that were duds, clear as could be. Excited to see that my breda eggs that i tossed in to play (2 breda covered by my 2 big cochins) are developing nicely. Cant wait to see what we get fron that cross! So we still have 32 in the bator, but atleaat half a dozen of those are marans and i have no idea whats happenong in those!

What bucka said... mine's on skids. It's light enough to pull by manpower (note: not female power) or slip the chain or rope over the ball of a truck. If we had an ATV I'd use that.

Yours is similar to mine, though it looks a bit wider and possibly not as tall. I started with 10' 2x4's on the bottom and angled them. Mine is about 6' tall at mid point, my end framing is diagonals going from bottom corner by cross bracing up to top of door frame. Do you use yours year round or just in the summer months? Looks like 1" chicken wire? Predator problems, what kind of use? Turkeys only? Thanks for the pics... one pic is worth a thousand words. I LOVE to see pictures of peoples set ups.

It's a 10x10 base and it's not quite 6 feet tall in the middle. I still whack my head on it all the time. We built it last summer as a rooster shack to grow out the roos before processing so they wouldn't drive our flock nuts with their fighting to over-mate the girls.

It does have chicken wire over it.

No predator problems. We leave it within a few feet of the house.

Anyone near Disgusta able to procure me a buck rag? I left mine in the goat house last night and Augustina spent all night ripping it down and urinating on it. It's now frozen to the goat house floor with a nice glue of doe urine and probably not very helpful.

Mine's 12X12 and about 6' tall. I am vertically challenged, so no head bumping here! For once it pays to be diminutive (sounds better than short)...
Am no where near disgusts, but wth is a buck rag? Augustine sounds lovely;)

Think buck as in male goat.

Ducks are out. What a mess to clean but they are better looking for sure and seem happier. They have a new home coming up with a woman who is very into waterfowl and will really enjoy their lovely eggs. I have plenty of blue eggs to decorate next year's tree.

Anyone else in here have good Rocks?

Show cages; do they need to be brand label or can you build your own? My son is FINALLY talking about showing and he wants to use either the Polish Cap we have or a Sultan to work with. I now call for all help to be had! I have no idea what he would be getting into. I told him our Polish won't win but he can learn a lot with her because he loves her and she is sweet/easy to handle, and then work with a different 'good' bird if he wants to try to win. He was fine with that-- this from a boy who won't do it if he doesn't think he can win so I am eager to get this ball rolling before it turns out to be a snow ball which melts.

Hoppy? ChicketMagnet? Got advice for me or anyone who wants to show so we aren't walking in there and embarrassing ourselves so badly he won't try a second time???
