Maine

Wanted to jump in and show off some of the new feathered friends. I know I said I wouldn't buy grown outs from Maine BUUUUT these are Hawe's birds and the kids love them so I am crossing my fingers and toes and legs and arms and eyes hoping...

One Mottled Blue pullet, one blue cockerel, two black girls who are just lovely and the gal above which variety we don't know. They are all young and most are this year's birds I believe so their color will settle out.

I have one royal palm turkey who seems to think he is a parrot. He loves to perch on my arm or shoulder especially when I am getting grain buckets set up. Of all my birds the turkeys are hands down the most curious and friendliest. Of the five I think I have two toms and three hens. I hope to end up with a breeding trio. The other two will end up at freezer camp when they get to a good size.

there is a link in my siggy of the swaps going on for the next 2 months in maine.
they are listed as long as I have been contacted with info. most of the fairs that have poultry shows do have birds for sale once judging is done. windsor fair show is sunday, birds will be for sale after that but have to stay for the entire show being the following saturday.
Thank You!
Also, is there a way to know if there would be chickens that someone could buy?
Or like a Chicken Swap?

I think I need a picture of the parroting.

I have a couple pretty friendly toms right now, too. They're getting huge.
