Just so you know we might get attached to this buckling and you might have to fight us. We would be attached( lubec is 4 hrs away) and our parenting instincts would kick in. Just saying. Or maybe he will be loud and crazy and then it will probably be a 3 hr trip instead!

More snow for Tuesday.

Thought that if I at least appear to be thrilled about it then it won't happen. Somehow I don't think it will work. Enough. Enough. Enough. NO MORE SNOW. My chickens have made it very clear that this is their wish.

Think of it. You can get eggs without them being shipped so that right there is a plus. You know you want what they have. I'm sure there is room in the incubator. Besides you don't want all the other eggs that are being picked up there to be lonely do you? And if a buckling stows away in the car then you just have to take him.

Forgot to say that our chickens will eat Japanese beetles, but they sometimes don't act fast enough and they fly away.

How bout putting a little shallow tub of water under the trap to dump the beetles into, then the chickies could get them from the water. Kind of like the halloween game: bobbing for ... beetles???
