I forgot to check to make sure all of my chickens were back in their pen from their brief time out of their run between showers, and now I am missing 7 chickens, including my 2 roos

Needless to say, NONE of my flock will be let out of the run from now on. For those of you going to thw Augusta swap on Saturday, will anyone have any silkie roos, silkie females, any sort of rooster, and any sort of pullets that will be laying soon?

I will have something silkie. I still have to check what are keepers and what are not at this point.

Carrie, I don't know much about those breeds, but the Mille Fleur looks like a pullet and I agree pullet and cockerel on the sebrights.. That would be my guess.

We are in Wiscasset and I have finally have the chicks that I have been wanting for the last twelve years. They are three weeks old today. We have two Buff Orpingtons, two Barred Rocks, two RIR's, two EE's, two Golden Comets and two Black Stars. My husband is just finishing our coop now and I can not wait because the brooder is set up in our living room with an extra large metal dog cage and cardboard around the sides to prevent draft. So happy to have my girls (although my suspicion is that we have one roo).

I have a ton of roos and still have some olandsk dwarf ones that I'm giving away for free. They're cute, compact and adorable.

I found my Barred Rock roo and my missing Barred Rock hen alive and well this morning, but I am still looking for my BLRW pullet, OE pullet, Buff Orpington hen, and my Silkie roo. Here's hoping ....

And thanks to those who think my new Avatar is cute. "He" is our new Saddleback Pomeranian baby. What a little shaggy thing he is! So sweet.


I might come to the swap. I need to get my crap together for the show too but Augusta is part way so maybe I can work it all in.
