That's why you wanted me to keep Thriller. I'll have to lock him up with Elsa for a few weeks and then hatch the insane progeny from that mating for you.
Elsa isn't sexy pants so.... which one is she again??

That's horrible, kinsey... so sorry.
awww, no more Houdini.

I can't say what I want to here. Start over with me. Its a trial but... it gets better.

Take all the lessons you learned and its easier the second time. do you still have bodies? THAT part I hate. I lost a couple this last week with no bodies found. No feathers, na da, and at day. ?? My only pure am pullet out of Smith lines too. Plenty of birds for sale if you just want a few to get you eggs through the winter though.

There are feathers everywhere, and I actually held one of my olive eggers while she died. I lost more than 10 chickens in less than 45 seconds. What if one of my kids would have been outside feeding their ducks or rabbits? I let the chickens out, came inside to let my dog out, and while I was inside for less than one minute, the coyotes attacked. They must have been watching me in the woodline. That's the part that freaks me out.

Kinsey, I am so sorry for your loss, and I also understand your concern re: wild life lurking just out of sight. We're also in a "high traffic" area... and I fear that I am getting complacent, allowing the girls out to range during the day when I am home.
