Oh, dear! You can't be tired of winter yet. It has not even started!
Grumble grumble [tripping over cords] bah bah bah. See. I can, too! [Renaud's isn't helping.]

Parsimonious? Has that always been there and I just saw it?

I am so thrilled!!!!I actually looked up where in Maine Parsimonious is awhile back - haha! Then I figured it out.Parsimonious... it hasn't always been there but for a little while now. No one has ever even asked till now. Its funny to me. There was a discussion briefly about its meaning in another thread because it was used in relation to the Marans chest coloring.
The solar lamps are the stake kind. I have 2 I bought last year after Christmas still going--not bad for 50 centers. My leghorns--1 was so mellow, laid her large white egg and didn't bother anyone. When the RIR's showed up, she joined her bossy, nosey sister in showing them who's in charge.
I saw in your sig you have a Siamese. I grew up with them and absolutely love them!My husband got me a kitten when we were first dating. He used to bring her for rides in the truck. Quite the sight to see this big burly guy with a teeny tiny kitten riding on his shoulder. Knew he was a keeper!! We had 3 more after her. 2 of them lived to be 19 years old. They were my babies for my kids! I have 2 rescues now a gray tabby (found in a field at 4 weeks old) & a Maine Coon (that my DH & DD could not leave at the shelter) but will have another Siamese at some point.![]()
I have long conversations with my little Lucy, and she always lays on my chest at night. It's pretty cute. She's four now.I've decided to put my buff down this afternoon. The vet will do it for a very reasonable price, so I'm taking going that route. I never thought I'd be THIS upset over a chicken. Although she got more color in her face after being separated, her movement has been progressively deteriorating. She can no longer stand up easily and doesn't walk barely even a step, so I think it's inhumane to keep her living like this. I brought her in from her set-up in the garage to live her final few hours all comfy on towels in the warmth. She's napping. Ugh. :-(
I always thought the flame points were pretty! All of mine were Sealpoints--2 were Siamese/Himalyans. My 3 were Mom, Dad & Son (Szechuan, Wonton & Teriyaki). Szech & Won lived to be 19 years old. I couldn't sit or lay on the couch without one or all of them with me. Teriyaki was 23 pounds and slept on my belly when I was pregnant with my son. That cat loved my son even before he was born! He would cry at the baby's bedroom door if it was closed.I do have a Siamese!! I don't think she's pure Siamese, but I think that's what her "main" breed is. She's a flame point with bright blue eyes. I looove cats. You should definitely get one again, but it's so good to hear you're a cat rescuer.I have long conversations with my little Lucy, and she always lays on my chest at night. It's pretty cute.
