Did you bring them back, or leave them due to Bio-security? I do hope he does not come back to steal the rest of your hens.

They are still there. They are wimps and have shown no interest in leaving the coop and venturing out into the snow. Then again why would the rooster want to leave? He has no competition from another rooster like he did here. He has his girls plus the girls that he found over there.
 
Limping in my gander is slightly better today so there is hope yet. Maple sap is running and the birds are bathing. I am mucking and repairing and moving... yes, its nearly Spring.

I know its coming. I am not in denial, but I hang my hat on this: its warm enough to snow. Eventually lots of snow becomes lots of rain showers and April showers bring May flowers... and chicks and ducklings and goslings and mowing the lawn and peepers and mosquitoes and fishing and then swimming and and and

So there.

I did repairs and mucking myself today. I finally got enough snow of the hoop run so I could shove it back in place. The ducks are happy. I got one building mucked, the other is a lost cause. It melted and thawed with hay stuck in between. I think I'll see floor boards some time in July.
