but be very careful when you take them out of the microwave. I've had them blow up in my face more then once, it hurts alot. now I let them cook, then let them rest for a 30 sec before I stir them and cook a bit longer.

Yep. I'll second that. I've had a microwave scramble blow up just this summer and I've been doing it or years without incident. Be careful.

well we got home tonight to find my bcm rooster torn up hes still able to walk and hes still eatting and drinking water but his comb has a pice taken out of it and hes missing a bunch of feathers from his back i know that it was one of our dogs that did it to him i told my wife that its time to free range the chickens and start keeping all the dogs in the kennel instead of the chickens we found the rooster hideing under the coop i think if he does make it he wont be flying out of the run anymore anyways

I posted this on the "Chickenstock/Shows" thread and figured I'd post it here too:

The fair at the Farmington, ME Fairgrounds runs from Sept 18-24.

There is a poultry show - more than 400 birds on exhibit in the Poultry Barn.

There will be birds for sale that can be purchased on the last day of the fair - Sept 24- at "coop out" which will begin around 4 pm.

Exhibitors put for sale signs up on cages after judging.

There is also a list of exhibitors, the birds they breed and their contact info posted at the barn.

apparently TSC has been checking our thread and saw where we didn't think they were going to have a store in waterville because when I was in the mall today, there was a sign on the building, "coming soon- tractor supply"

Oh, good! I wonder how they define "soon".

I don't know why I'm anxious for a TSC to open up there. I usually find other reasons to visit Skowhegan fairly frequently anyway. Thanks for the tip, though.

Hubby will be there all three days, I'll be there Saturday, doing a bean flour demo.
