How many chickens/ducks do you guys have and how much does it cost per month to maintain that many in your flock??

I have 37 hens and a rooster plus 5 large ducks. I buy 200 lbs of feed approx every 2 weeks in the winter, less in the summer when they free range more.

Feed fluctuates from 13 to 16 dollars a bag at my feed store.

we had 19 during the summer and they were free ranging going through a 50# bag of feed in 3 to 4 weeks. we then reduced our flock to 14 and this winter they go through about 50# in 2 weeks. We have a feeder that funnels the food down as they eat it so they can eat when ever they feel like it. We do feed them our table scraps, stale bread and fruits that have started to go bad, that helps with the food bill a bit LOL around here I pay $13.00 -$14.00 for a 50# bag of feed.

We're expanding here also with a mobile coop and hopefully getting Marans and Ameraucanas!

Yep we been bit that's for sure. We found baby chicks and or fertile eggs for the specific breeds we wanted.
I have a friend who wants me to hatch out some quail eggs. Told her depending on how good our first try at this incubator
goes maybe the next round will be her quail eggs. we got the model 9200 incubator from TSC. I see a egg turn comiing
in the near future LOL.
Anyone know of a place near southern maine to get button quail eggs let me know.

200lbs for $16????? I pay $16 for a 50lbs bag at Aubuchon in Belfast...
