Question about the thermometer,I bought two of them and was afraid to use them ,thought they might get caught in the turner, have you had that happen?Whats the best way to lay them in there?

Hello all!
I have run into a neighbor issue (its a long, very frustrating story) and have been asked to pen in my chickens rather than let them continue to free range. We have the space to build a very large pen for them, and intended to do so anyway. However, I have been told that I am not allowed to let them out at all anymore until they are penned. So I am looking for someone to foster my 5 chickens for a month or so until the snow melts and we can get the pen up. I know its a lot to ask, and if need be they can continue to stay in their coop. I just feel so bad doing that to them. I am in the Raymond/Windham area. So if anyone has space in this area, please let me know. I will, of course provide food etc for them.

have you looked into the electric poultry netting? that goes up fast and is movable.

you know it is time to stop collecting eggs for hatching when you go to load your incubator and say- and where am I going to put these???? yup, happened to me. loading the incubator last night (I have a sportsmans going) and put in 3 dozen eggs knowing that I have another 22 turkey eggs to be loaded in addition to what I have of my own chickens (24) and i bid on more eggs. thankfully (or not) I didn't win that last set of eggs. I'm doing staggered hatches so I have 1 rack coming out wednesday, another saturday but I still have 3 racks to load- oh this is bad, very bad. I thinking I'm making egg salad for lunch or turning on that 2nd incubator (no, can't be doing that
