I met up with klf73 and got my new chicks. they are beautiful and she took excellant care of them for me. thank you again Krista.
has anyone noticed the tolls have gone up- $6 to drive from augusta to windham and back just in tolls. i remember when the augusta toll was 35 cents.

so who is starting the windham swaps? the store is ready to go they said, just need someone to help them get them going. if anyone is interested and needs some help, just pm me.

I talked to the man in there, Dave I think is his name, and left him my business card and contact info. Told him that Widget and I would be interested in helping. Asked him about the insurance. He said he would look into it and get back to me. Guess I might need to go pay him a visit...

I've been in there a couple times. Didn't talk to anyone though. It looks like a great location. Plenty of traffic going by and the store has been really busy on the two Saturdays I've stopped in. I'm not available the first weekend in May, Sunday May 13th or the 20th. Otherwise I should be around to help with a swap.

So far 10 of the 16 eggs I got from Krista have hatched.

Widget- when I talked to the guy in there they said they would prefer a Saturday. I will give him a call or stop in this week (I dont know why but I can't stop going to that store. Its fantastic and I love it there!) and then coordinate with you and we will see what we can come up with!

I wanted to share a couple of pics with you guys. This is Pete, my sizzle roo I got from Hoppy last summer. Hes quite the character and waits inside the pen for my youngest 2 to come and get him and carry him around. They sit with him perched in their laps like he was a sleepy puppy or something. I am really hoping that he has secretly been mating with RePete the Accidental Bantam....maybe I have to "accidentally" get a couple more bantam hens for him

those are absolutely adorable. i had some slacker roos in my sizzles and got only 1 fertile egg so i have moved the girls in with a more experienced roo.
