Wow, busy thread today!
We just had 7 roosters processed by West Gardiner Beef today (AND, note this SCG!) none of them escaped! However, there was another customer with 4 roosters, and he only went home with 3. DH was chatting with him, and the guy could see his escaped rooster sitting on a wood pile across the road, and he had already found a friend (someone else's escapee)!
I guess they have a new policy now, that the customer must remove the birds from the cage and hand them over one at a time (I presume to avoid people placing blame for the escapees on the processors). Our new cage worked great, but we dropped $70 for it.
