I want to know what others do to get their kids involved in cleaning and able to do it without complaining.
My daughter and I are about to vacuum and I always spread baking soda over the carpets to help get the smells out. So I tell my daughter we are chickens scratching for worms and she walks around scratching her feet to get the baking soda in to do its job. It's her favorite way to help my clean.
When I vacuum the furniture, hubby makes the cushions all lumpy, so I spread them on the clean floor and let her pretend they are lily pads, and she's the frog who needs to jump on them from one cushion to the next to get the lumps out!
Then we pretend we're playing restraunt when we feed the animals so she takes everyone's order before we feed the chickens, ducks, cat and dog. It quite funny to watch her pretend to write down what they want on her invisible pad of paper.
So what do you do with the kids?
