I have been using them for over a year now, I no longer seem to get irrataions like I use to. they also don't lump up and turn sideways on you either.

I think that is a nifty idea! Is there some sort of plastic barrier in between - just wondering how they keep things from soaking through.

I've never bleed through, you change them like you would a normal pad, and the largest ones have an inner liner made out of the utility cloth that the fabric stores sell for making diapers. the large and medium are filled with that Zorb batting which is super absorbant and 80/20 batting.

it is great idea but i dont need them anymore, but i would used them if i had too. i have to burn my garbage or take it a dumping site 10 miles away.
when my child was a baby i used cloth diapers and i wash them and hang it out to dry.

now i wish i could buy cloth diapers for my 91 yr old mother . used 4 plastic diapers a day on her now and have to take them to dumping site 2x time a month throw them in garbage bags on my garbage trailer until i go

I know all about that, I take care of my mom, and she is incontinant as well as having adema and ulser wounds in her legs. I don't have a choice, she is way to big to make diapers for and the wound care supplies are unbelievable how much I have to throw away right now.

Okay, sounds like you have the material list to make your diapers for the elderly mothers. We used similiar materials to make the ones we used with my Grandmother. She died last year at 100. We used a child's cloth diaper as the pattern and guestimated the size based on Grandma's measurements. Make a mock up and try it to see how it works.

Do you use fleece, wool, or PUL (polyurethane laminate) for water proofing? (any of those?)

I loved my cloth pads back when I needed that kind of thing (I used them as back up for my diva cup).

Have you done testers yet? When I've sold handmade stuff (and you see this a lot on forums), you sell them for a reduced price (usually cost) and in exchange for the discount, the buyers fill out a survey that you create to tell you how they like them, any changes you might make, etc. It's a great way to get some positive feedback to help generate sales.

good luck!
