making cloth reusable menstrual pads

Thank you, Goldenluver! Received the items!

Guess what after the first day of wearing them yesterday, no irritations or itching or smell! Wooooo hooooo! Now the real test will be coming up, with walking around to see if they would hike up or make me sore. The feel of it is gentle, much better than the disposables.

One error I made on my part, about salting the water, however i did wash it with cold water. Believe it or not, when it was soaked, jeez, it really holds ALOT of water! After said and done, all of the "white" sides bleed thru but they did hold their shapes! So no big deal as long they still have their purpose in what they supposed to do!

Is it a good idea to wash the pads by themselves (like I did) or can I wash them with towels or just undergarments only? Like my mother taught me, do not wash towels with t-shirts because of issues of "pilling" or little tiny cotton balls that you had to pluck them off by hand.

Kudos to Goldenluver! I'll be looking to order more but undecided what size to order the most of!

I stopped reading at this post, I seen the pictures(hopefully that was all the pictures) I was thinking hot pads for cooking, boy was I wrong.

I dont soak mine, and I wash them with everything. It makes no difference I found, soaking was more work for the same end results. I find I do a load a day of laundry so for me their not sitting long mabe thats why I dont need to soak.

I'm pretty sure there aren't many guys left who don't know the word Minstration.

I think I'm sold now on the cloth pads. I'll need to go down to good will and buy some old flannel. I like the idea of not having to deal with nasty sposies and having less cramps is a plus.

I love those new patterns. They are adorable. I could always hit up Jo Anns and see what they have.

HA! These are adorable! Much cuter than store bought ones. I've NEVER heard of cloth pads, but reading through this thread I'm pretty convinced.

Just wondering, how do these do during those heavy flow nights?

Goldenluver-Any chance you'd make these with a black lining rather than white? hahaha

Another pro I found about these, no matter how careful I am those dang wrappers are so loud! Once someone hears them everyone in the house knows its that time. HAHA now I could be sneaky and slip them in the wash.
