Making it legal to own backyard chickens in Levittown, PA

Are there any Bristol Township Levittown PA people still watching this thread? I am hoping to get enough people gathered at a township council meeting in an effort to get the ordinance amended to allow chickens and ducks maybe with at least one written approval from an adjacent neighbor per permit. The current special use permit costs $300. And you have to get the zoning board to approve your application. Last month, June 2020, a woman got approved for 6 chickens. Also, a family a couple of years ago got approved for 30 chickens. For a special use permit, you have to send a certified notification to all adjacent property owners and post the notice on your property. I would like to get all this changed. Do you know how many chickens or ducks you can buy for $300.? An application for a single family rental permit only costs $60.! This is possible but we would need to fill the auditorium - maybe 30 people - friends, family, neighbors. Any takers out there? Email me at [email protected] if interested. ........ Well spoke to the #BRISTOLTOWNSHIPCODEENFORCEMENT and was very abruptly and rudely told 'NO CHICKENS" they will "HUNT DOWN" all perpetrators CONFISCATE and DESTROY any and all ilegal animals and press all appropriate charges!!!!!!!!!

We're in Bristol Township, I'd like to help make it legal to have a few. Nobody around here seems to mind that people on my block have a small flock including a rooster that likes to celebrate every morning lol. There's another place nearby that has a few hens that are quiet. We decided to pick up 2 hens a few weeks ago, haven't had any problems & really don't expect any.

Where are you in Levittown and how are the chickens? I'm in Blue Ridge and I was thinking about just picking a couple up anyway. I don't think my neighbors would say much as long as I didn't get a rooster.
