Making Lemonade [Selective Culling Project - very long term]

I wonder if temperature changes between day and night is also a factor.
We have a 30 degree daily temp swing this time of year, but my Kerbonnix has held up like a champ. That's the one factor we can probably eliminate - though 40 and below it underperforms.

The barn brooder is a complete bust. Something got in last night, down to just one hatchling of the last batch. Can likely fix the issue with more concrete, but its not high priority at the moment. Going to have to come up with something else in the interim.

This is SO SO frustrating.

Started a new hatch - in the RV. That gives me a good month till I need another plan in place.

That's awful.
I am so sorry. :hugs

Live and learn. Just wish it wasn't so fatal to my hatchlings. Has to be a rat/rats. Nothing else is small enough to potentially get in, the few gaps are quite small. I've alrready filled in with concrete were one dug underneath the wall.
