Making Lemonade [Selective Culling Project - very long term]

OK, that makes sense. Something about that photo looked like ear tufts to me, which had me puzzled because I didn't think you were working with them! It must just be a trick of my eyes when looking at the photo.
I thought I saw the same thing. Not just your eyes. ;)

He still had some fuzz left over, so it must of been how the light was hitting him.

...and for reasons of finance, looks like I'll be letting a few more birds "grow up" to laying age, since I suddenly have a bit more demand for eggs. As I have the space, and the feed costs will be covered by egg sales, going to take advantage of it.

Expect the market to reduce again in the fall, will adjust as needed then.

P2-02 has Begun! (early hatch)

Hasn't fluffed out yet, light isn't great, but initial impression is "yellow" with a darker yellow chipmunk pattern. Once its fluffy, that may change.

As reminder, we **think** all the mamas are Comets. That was the attempt, anyways. Will be interesting to see how much variation we get in the chicks.

Like the cinnamon color.

Here they are together. Sorry about the "floor" color, it doesn't help. LED artificial lighting as well. Overcast today.

Visually, bird in front looks like a turtle, its so wide around the middle. Chonky. 30%, i'd guess, larger than bird in back, who was born first.
Based on my experience, you'll likely get more of the wide ones.
