The Orpington Chicks have the Columbian gene, so it gives them the red Crele appearance when they grow up. One of the chicks failed to inherit the barring gene, so that one can't be called Crele.

This is what the Redish Brown Chick looks like, but he's changing quite abit.

He's From Project Wheaten Crele Orpington Rooster X Buff Orpington hen.
No, he has no ear tufts.

OK, that makes sense. Something about that photo looked like ear tufts to me, which had me puzzled because I didn't think you were working with them! It must just be a trick of my eyes when looking at the photo.
