making sure this correct?

I am still learning!

I want to make sure I am doing this right!

I have straw & wood chips in the coop (& even in the roosting area)

(I was planning on using sand for roost area but didn't get there in time)

I go in and turn it a bit & add wood chips & DE. Is this all I am suppose to do till spring?

Even under the roost?

If you are adding chicks from a brooder, they can't go directly in with adult birds, of course.
Personally I would start with fresh litter and a sanitized coop for any chicks coming out of a brooder.
