Hope the weather was as nice for you yesterday as it was here. FINALLY! Weather has been TERRIBLE since November 2014. Too much rain, too much snow, too cold, too hot.

There is a saying in Ohio. If you don't like the weather, just wait, It'll change! And that is the truth. We are suppose to have wonderful weather this whole week

Today was beautiful. Of course we haven't had rain in months but I know it's coming so I'm going to enjoy the sunshine for as long as I can. Never been to Ohio but originally from the Midwest... The seasons there are real! Washington, not so much but I wouldn't be surprised if we got all four this year!!!
 
It's been a busy week so I haven't spent much time with the birds other than feeding them their slop... I know my egg count is growing daily cause my 7 year old heads to the coop the second he gets home from school. It's pretty precious he studies each egg carefully and make notes on size and color and random differences... Hope that boy becomes a vet in his future life. Not much to talk about lately... Just getting into the whole school year groove. Hope everyone is doing amazing.
 
Its always great to see the young ones so interested in something that most kids are oblivious to. I hope my little girl is as hands on when she gets a little older. Still working on keeping shoes on her. Lol.

Well the birds are adapting to their first rainy season... We had flooding yesterday but nothing like South Carolina. We got 5 eggs from 8 layers today... Not bad. Alice the Minorca is slowing down but she is a mederteranian bird... Not so cold hardy as the rest. We have been getting enough eggs to keep me and my household plus my folks who babysit a lot of grandchildren in eggs... They were laughing today cause we have been rotating the same four cartons and they are starting to fall apart but none of us buy eggs anymore!!!!! Back to school after a super long three day weekend, but we survived. My Seahawks had a heart breaker today... Enough said about that but my vinnie played like a pro!!!! Go crusaders!!!! Off to bed after a long day of football friends and cooking. Monday night football will come fast and I promised the single friends homemade Alfredo fettuccini and Italian sausage. Hoping to go on a hike tomorrow in the forest... I need to get into the wilderness I get cabin fever bad during fall. Hope everyone has a stellar day. Ps.. Still love you my Seahawks, 12th man for life.
 
Thinking about fermenting my food again. I stopped cause the dogs were eating it but I found that they have grown a liking to chicken feed anyway. Maybe I will get a couple single servings started for the birds and start a rotation... Not a fan of mass fermentation with mold growth and stuff. Will give it another shot and see what happens...
Forgot to mention that after our huge down pour all day yesterday the birds and I woke up to sunshine and they had a hey day scratching and eating all the natural specimens of nature. I love looking a my New Hampshire with a green grass back ground. Just beautiful to watch.
 
Haven't posted in a long time.... Lots of changes. Looking for a job. DH new job didn't work out... Ugggghhh. But anyway, got 7 out of 8 layers yesterday. The most eggs I have gotten. Alice is done for the season... Mediterranean bird doesn't like the weather change. Been battling the ups and downs of parenthood. It will all be okay.

The other day DH left the door open. I came in the living room to find all nine birds in there. They messed up my puzzle I had been working on for a week!!! I had to chase each one out or catch them and bring them out side... When I caught Jerry, the rooster I noticed he smelled to high heaven. Gross!!! What could cause him to stink so bad. None of the girls smell like that. He is also getting huge. Trying to dominate but he will lose that battle...

They built a TSC here. I applied there to work along with four other spots. Time will tell. Anyway hope everyone is doing marvelous!!! Hope attimus is feeling better and Friday is doing well and anyone else who may read my boring ramblings lol.

Better take a good look all over him, parting the feathers down to the skin, starting on the pooper end...make sure he doesn't have a festering wound.
