Making the most of it.

Yeah for that late bloomer!

Finances UGH! We bought our double wide located on 3 acres of overgrown, unkept, not touched in 2 years property. We worked our tails off until we ran out of money. Moved in, failed sewage inspection:th, paid a couple thousand to get that fixed....then a couple years later tried to get a loan for a 9 acre lot next door. Long story short, it's real hard to get a bank to loan money on raw land. WHY? Can't figure that out, because they don't make land anymore! Month after we got turned down, a young family bought it. The man comes over a couple times a month and is slowly clearing it off so they can build their "dream home".

Now I work at a bank and I see people that are absolutely upside down. Payday loans, overdrawn accounts, credit card debt, writing checks to make it til payday, just absolutely overspent. Don't live outside of your means. What everyone else has said about paying off credit cards monthly, YES! People see credit as an extended way to pay for things. NO! Credit is YOUR money. Don't forget that.

I am super blessed with our 3 acres, and I work 6 days a week to pay taxes, utilities, maintenance, living expenses, etc. Would be SO nice to be able to enjoy "living" more. Speaking of that, gotta go to work. Have a great day.

Congrats on the little one! Bet the boys were excited.

Moving the Easter chicks out of the house to the coop brooder today. Will be so nice to have all the chicks out of the house!

Good luck on your continued house hunt!!

I kicked my Easter babies out Monday evening. They were starting to get dusty.

Nice. I had to build a safe house in the coop for the Valentine's batch and move them out of the brooder box in the coop first. Last night was their first night when they couldn't get back in to the brooder box to sleep, and they did OK. About half were on the roost with the adults, and half sleeping under the ramp to the nestbox.

Today I'll clean the brooder box out and move the new kids out this afternoon or tomorrow. So much cleaning/dusting to do in the back room now!

Yeah I gotta wipe down and dust parts of the basement as well.

It's terrible, isn't it? Who gave those people the right to my personal information anyway? Thought we had a right to privacy. There should be some recourse and accountability for when they make an error too! huff! Hubs and I use a visa card for almost everything, and earn miles on Alaska Air. Balance is paid in full every month. Seems to me it is just as easy to buy groceries, gas, and sundries on one card as it is to pay for each separately. In fact it might be better. You get a big itemized list once a month to see where all your money is going. Easier to keep track and budget.
Absolutely!

Tho I do use cash for smaller local businesses because the credit card use actually costs the business money......
.....I know this from having accepting CC payments myself selling stuff at art fairs/shows.
They appreciate it and often give me a reduced price, because the prices have that CC cost built into them.

Previous owners had painted that whole section of the house in a tan, semi-gloss paint. Although I don't like the gloss, I can swiffer the walls and ceiling really easily.

Good point. I do that too so the small business doesn't have to pay the credit card fee.

Most small businesses will also give a cash discount for large transactions as well. All ya gotta do is ask.

Would be nice if I could just swiffer everything.
