Making the most of it.

I have a feeling I wont have a choice in the matter.. but that just doesnt seem right. Too much temptation especially for the younger generations... Shouldnt they only judge you on the negative aspects and not the other......
Yes, they should, and no, it's not right, but when's the last time you knew of a politician doing the right thing, 'specially when their political future depends on the power brokers? The guys with the deepest pockets pull the strings. You want to be debt free; they want you to have debt to prove that you can meet your financial obligations.

such a shame..... I think I shall write in John Oliver as president... but then he isnt native born..... Just seems like the working class gets hits the hardest.... I have always worked so hard as a single mother until I couldnt anymore and then married a hard working man.... The working class poor is a real thing extra debt would only make that struggle harder.... such a bummer.

Just use the card responsibly; don't buy anything you wouldn't if you were paying cash, then make d___n sure you pay the entire balance every month so you don't get stuck paying their exorbitant interest rates. I'm very much aware that that's easier said than done; you have to be disciplined enough to stick to the plan, or it'll bite you in the butt.

You can do it, just like Whites said. We have had a couple of credit cards for years and years, and have never carried a balance. Made sure the girls got credit cards when they got jobs, too. They have never carried a balance either. (Beat that one into them)

It's a game you have to play if you ever want to qualify for a mortgage. Best to start now.

Ditto both dos^^

Had a banker woman, with a thick european accent, tell me at about age 25 and newly divorced,
"you need to establish credit starting right now and.... you must ....keep yourself ....under control"
Only used it for stuff I would have paid or check for.....paid it off every month...was **** glad ten years later buying my first house and my credit rating rocked big time.

I can still hear that womans voice in my head.

Are you guys ready to hear some political jibberish.... I at 30 something years old.... cant seem to remember the exact age can not for the life of me understand why my credit score is the way it is.. I have zero debt.. pay cash for cars.. no payments cause... That is just an extra bill. No credit cards for the same reason and my credit is in the 500's with no information given.. Now I understand the stipulation that you have to use credit to get credit but doesnt that set people up for failure and I also read that the credit bureaus have a 50 percent inaccuracy on information that is used in big decisions for the American people.... So..... Why isnt there an organization to hold the bureaus responsible.. and if that isnt plausable maybe they need to get rid of it all together.... I for one think you are more responsible to be debt free and living within your means than being able to balance a bunch of unnecessary debt. I dont understand the world in which we live sometimes.... rant over. (maybe)
It's terrible, isn't it? Who gave those people the right to my personal information anyway? Thought we had a right to privacy. There should be some recourse and accountability for when they make an error too! huff! Hubs and I use a visa card for almost everything, and earn miles on Alaska Air. Balance is paid in full every month. Seems to me it is just as easy to buy groceries, gas, and sundries on one card as it is to pay for each separately. In fact it might be better. You get a big itemized list once a month to see where all your money is going. Easier to keep track and budget.

Hoping it gets a sibling!
