What all did he try and check out?

I texted the kids mom... no answer... Asked her son to ask when she was picking him up.... the mom responds.. why is she in a hurry... It is now after 6 pm.... I had her kid all day yesterday as well.. i cooked enough dinner for them all but I know Devin and I are gonna need some rest tonight.... what to do........

What all did he try and check out?

Battery, ignition switch, solenoid. Power going to the solenoid, nothing coming out of it, yet if you short across the posts the flywheel spins, which means the starter's good, as well as the voltage regulator (I think).

Just for grins, I'm going to jump right to the battery cables, w/o the battery, to see if it'll start, like it did once before. Of course, the last time I did that, I connected the battery again & it started perfectly. IDK; I'm trying anything that comes to mind.

I did, she said that his father would pick him up at 7.... thats only a half an hour away..

If the solenoid is taking in power but not putting any out wouldn't that make the solenoid bad or faulty?

Maybe... but doesnt the solenoid run on one belt with multiple pullys that attached to the engine... Hmmmmm I am lost.

Ohh geez.. hope not.... devin wasnt crazy about the kid... soooner would be better.

Makes sense, but it's brand new. Same thing happens with the old one.
