Making the most of it.

Just some thoughts going through my mind... Service, a wordy that has become dirty and weak in this generation..... But wait and just think... Service, to me is a show of respect in love. Too many times I hear more flack from others for loving and wanting to serve my family.. Yes... I enjoy cooking for them. I enjoy grabbing a beverage for them... Helping them in the smallest of ways.... I get joy out of what others would call pathetic. Make your kids make their own food... Don't refresh your husbands drink, what does he do for you. I don't agree with this. My family.... My kids, my husband spend our days serving each other. Some mornings I awaken to my son making me coffee... I in turn make breakfast for him. I fix and serve my husband dinner after a long day at work... I go to bed and find my husband has brought an ice cold glass of water for me at night. We take joy in serving each other and we don't expect anything in return.... So to that spouse/ child or friend that goes above and beyond for another... I say you are strong! God bless and good night.

Glad you had a great holiday and I appreciate the warm sentiment. Keep it up with your hatch and I'll be looking to you for advice. Lol. You certainly have a keen eye for the little things, these can often be the most important.
Have a great day and stay warm its cold here. BTW I'll be posting processing pictures soon, I think I can wield the machete again :)

I agree with your words on Service. I have been accused of "spoiling" my husband, but I enjoy doing for him and he appreciates what I do. It is partly because of how I was raised and partly because we "do" things for each other so often and in so many ways. I was lucky and married my best friend.

I was raised watching my mother take care of her family in all things big and small. It is second nature to me to want to "spoil" my family I suppose... kind of like you... but like you said, its a whole lot easier when you marry your best friend.

Day twenty with the eggs. All I can think about is the mishap on Sunday with all the kids in the house and going to lock down a day early cause I miscounted and thought it was a different day. No pips or anything going on but I have time yet...
One thing I can say is I have learned a lot. There are improvements on the incubator that I will make for next time. So hopefully within the next couple of days I will have good news to share.
