Making the most of it.

Hope it's not gleet, but if it is luckily it is treatable.

I've been so busy, had a lot of family down for the Ballon Fiesta. We had so much fun and the weather was perfect - hundreds of balloons over the house most days!

Then my parents decided to look for a house, so days were spent running around touring, then with the realtor, etc. they ended up making an offer, and I am shuffling all the paperwork, making appointments with inspectors, etc.

So I just wanted to pop in to say hi!

Friday, are your parents moving closer to you???? What a beautiful sight to see the sky filled with balloons!!!

So after hours of trying to work on different versions of my resume and taking advantage of the family gone to watch football, I got a call from my best friends boyfriend.... Had to spend the rest of my day with my dear friend at the hospital... Didn't get the chance to handle little Jerry Seinfeld.... Tomorrow I gonna run her some books and magazines and puzzles to keep her busy... She is so bored but hurting badly and is lonely but doesn't want anyone to see her in the hospital. Her boyfriend will be with her tomorrow and I will take Monday. I hope they figure out how to fix her.... Crones disease gone bad!!!!! Poor girl can't eat or sleep and just hurts. Sooo got a few busy days ahead of me... I will attempt again tomorrow to look at the rooster. Going to bed early. Hope everyone has a stellar night.

Hi Linda - yes, they are. For now, they will "snowbird" and spend half the year here but I think they will permanently move down here before too long. I have mixed emotions because I am close to my dad, but my mom and I get along much better when we are several states apart. They both have some health issues though, so being closer will be a good thing.

Sorry to hear about your friend. Crohn's disease can be so painful and I hope she goes into remission soon. Nice of you to go hang out with her!

Seems life has its twists for everyone. Hope you get that job at the tsc, would be a pretty sweet gig with having the chickens and all. You should take a min today to check jerry out thoroughly, better to do it now then beat yourself up later over something more serious. Hope your friend is doing OK. A far reaching support group is a godsend in times like this.
Keep the faith

I looked at Jerry today and didn't see what was wrong. His butt was dirty... Clipped and cleaned around the area but I couldn't find where the stench is coming from... What could I be missing.... He crows and eats and drinks and besides being large poops they look normal as well... I don't know where else to look.

Need to look at every inch of his skin under the feathers, hard to do but you have extra hands to help there.
I just keep thinking festering wound, maybe flystrike.

On to other news... Lost the football picks from a couple weeks ago... When there was employment. Anyway, Tessa my vet friend won the picks and I tried to giver her the five dollars... She looked at me and said, is there a way I can have eggs instead. Luckily I had four dozen in the fridge and gave her half!!! Love to be able to share my eggs.
