Heyo :) glad to see you posting, when times are hard I think back to something Daniel tosh said on the subject and I quote "at least you didn't get your head soccer punted off by a roller coaster". Always gives me a little chuckle.
Molts always make my girls look ugly and the ones my roo is super friendly with stand out more:)
Stay positive, keep it up and keep posting.

:D. About the egg production.....my girls are on strike. We haven't had eggs in awhile. I tell them every night, "I feed you, you feed me!". They don't listen:lau

Lucky girls. I'm looking into incubators now so I'll have meat when I want it. That and hatching cute adorable chicks can be an addiction, have you seen serama chicks BTW. Worth the Google. Definitely deserve an"omg". I'm getting some this spring.

Attimus, I highly recommend making one over buying one. There are many ways to do it and it's pretty simple. I hope you hatch cause it is super cool. Knowing you, you would build the mother of all incubators.
Attimus. I agree wholeheartedly with Linda. Could you wire a lamp, if you had explicit instructions and all of the materials sitting on a table in front of you? If so, or if you know someone who could help you with that task, you can build your own incubator. You'll spend a fraction of the cost compared to buying an incubator, and it will be as good as, and most likely much better than one that would cost many $$$$$. Look for "how to" videos by Rush Lane poultry. And buy a STC 1000 temp controller, add a computer fan on a 12 V converter (old fashioned phone charger) and you'll be ready to go!

@birdman55 has a great tutorial on his thread, with alot of pictures. I also have his number so this is a highly feasible and the most likely route. As a matter of fact I'll be texting him when I'm done here. Lol.
Guess I just needed that extra nudge.
