Why not? Depending on what the papers were you might want to notify credit bureaus or something. Just in case they could be used for stolen identity type stuff.

That's just no good. Remember what's in there? Might want to change a few passwords while your giving the appropriate parties a call as well. My identify was stolen years back by a middle aged Hispanic woman in Arizona. Found out when I tried to open a bank acct and they were like you have all these fraudulent ATM charges in Arizona and I'm like I've never been to Arizona. Took a while to get it sorted.

Gotta sit down and fill out my police report... I'm sure a case number will be needed if I have to fight issues on our credit reports.. Not quite the adventure I wanted today. It feels like I keep getting punched no matter what I try to do. Bad people stink!!!!!
