Never said splash.

Actual Spangled pattern consists of different genes.

Mottling is White Tips on feathers with any color.

Spangling is usually black tips on any color. The color pattern is unrelated to mottling.

I know the difference between colors, I'm learning genetics, & know some specific color types.

The chicks don't have enough whiteness on them to be considered Splash, it's only in the breast feathers, which mottled chicks usually show commonly in juvenile plumage before getting spots.

I'll be posting pictures later.

Chick Growth Update: 4 Weeks Old.
Thinking at least one is splash, but the other looks like it maybe a blue Spangled. We'll find out as they grow though.

Wheatens do have a lot of white feathers as chicks. It’s funny how their heads are shaped like triangles.
