Thats cool! I never showed anything in my life! But I am getting into showing some livestock. Still not prepared enough to show chickens though...becuase I believe they breed to the SOP and breeds recongized in the APA...

I'm working on breeding towards SOP.

Poultry Shows do allow the exhibition of none show birds, mixes, & unrecognized varieties. I don't think there's prizes for the this category though.

Blue Wheaten is not a Recognized variety with the Malay Breed. So, if I can get Blue Wheaten a recognized color, it'll allow other people to show theirs too.

Thanks! I just dont really know the rules for showing and all that. I know 'how' to show a bird, like how to hold it and prepare it and stuff, but I dont own any 'special' breeds nor any bantams. Bringing standard size chickens to show seems hard to me and I dont really want to stress them out.

Also, do you know if the birds need to be kept in a cage with a tag? I think I heard that somewhere.

Yep caged, a tag stating bird gender, & stuff like that.
