Malay thread

Roger,
I don't have any hatching eggs at this time. All my hens (except 4 of my original stock) have chicks and are not laying. I do have around 20 chicks, some of which will be for sale at a later date. 4 juveniles and 3 adult roosters are currently for sale. My original stock hens are just average stock but they are free to anyone who wants them.
I m in Texas. And i m looking eggs for September, now se have a extremlly hot weather. If you Or somebody have Hatching eggs around September Or October Please Let Me know.

I've searched all over the internet for development of Malay chicks. I have some and watching their progress. But wanted more info. I can't find anything.
Out of 5 chicks 1 got it's tail feathers a week before the rest and seems to be bigger and was more red when it hatched.
Now they are getting "shoulder" feathers that look tan with black outlines. All 5 of them.
So do the roosters get their tail feathers first? Or the hens?
Mine are Blue Wheaten. So the dark feathers on all of them could be the blue they all get.
I'm wanting to sell some of them and keep a hen. But don't know which ones yet. They are 4 weeks old tomorrow.

Hello, getting like 20 Malay chicks soon....need advise on coop size per trio, and run size. I'm in MI, so it's cold....also would it be fine to rotate which trio goes out to graze? Will the hens be not very to each other? What about with chicks? Please anything you can think of will be great. Thanks
