Rainwolf.
They are adorable. Silent Bob is so cute and squatty in that pic. I guess I'll have to name this one Uno, after another lil chick I had that was a loner. Hopefully, there will be more hatch in a week.

Thanks smoothmule!
He's a great chick that pretty much puts up with anything I do.

I'm told he will most likely be a wheaten type coloring which would be really nice!
I hope to have more serama's if I can. right now I'm running out of brooders and coop/cages!

There has been some debate on the SCNA forum abut the merits of color breeding. Many people are in love with the kaliedescope of colors that these birds come in, and others, whether they are control freaks or "mad scientists", want to compartmentalize the genes. I understand both points, but I have one arguement for color breeding. On some colors you can sex them very early. For example, wheaten. I have found that wheaten babies, from roughly wheaten parents, are sexable at about two days old. The wing feathers on the boys will start growing in black, and the girls will be white. They all start out pure yellow. The two in the pic are full siblings, a week apart in age. A dollar says that I have a pair......

Floated over mine. I had to Google them.

If you like quirky movies ya gotta watch Kevin Smith movies!
Kevin Smith is Silent Bob whom says nothing in the movies except maybe a line or 2 of wisdom.

Good question. I haven't seen every Serama in the world, but I also haven't come across a lavender. Not sure it's in there. I've seen some very even- colored blues, but no lavs yet.
