Silkied, frizzled and booted will never be my cup of tea but that smooth mottled hen is a beauty.

I believe both YB and austin are SCNA forum members....so I'd take this as a friendly jab or sarcasm

Yes, but LAseramas KP is not. With his broken English and bad grammar I'm not even sure what he is saying, but it does sound derogatory.

LA a word of advise for anyone selling anything( I see you have Serama on BYC auction) .
Show lots of pictures.
BUt most of all badmouthing the competition is a very very bad idea.

I believe Austin is mature enough to NOT respond to you aggitating remarks.

Ease up or you will cause this thread to be closed. Please.

How is the sand in the enclosures? I was considering this for my new breeding pens/show pens. I wondered how it was on their feathers, and feet. Thanks!

Nice to see you back Jess!!!! The play sand work great for me, less pop stick on the feathers and I don't have to do pedicure for them that often any more. I use the large reptile sand strainer to keep it clean.

I like the sand idea too. I'm replacing all the dirt/bark in my outside run this summer with sand and I think I'd like to do it for my inside pens as well. Do you find it creates less dust? Right now I use shavings but have tried wood pellets too. I know there is always dust with chickens but some products seem to increase that dust.
