Are her legs pink (fleshy)? I think she is an OEGB, not a japanese.

Yes they are pink... well I learned something new today then! Thank you

I was told she was Japanese. She is strictly a pet, so whatever she is, is cool with me. After I assesed her this AM, I find out she cannot roost and her left eyelid does not work. No response from it. it is almost in the closed position, I know she can see out of the eye tho. Now to find a name..........

No she sure didn't. Where she set up shop [ she wandered in one day] all the animals get fed well, but she was living in the mud and dirt and because she cannot roost she was a sitting duck [no pun intended] and when I was visiting yesterday, I asked "she is so cute, can I have her?"

Thanks for all of the advice. Good news for me but bad for my husband.

I will try to keep most of the girls and beg my husband to make me a new coop and run. I don't show my chickens but want a quality flock down the line.

ZooMummzy, I did pretty well with my hatches after I realized that I had to watch my Hovabator 1604 like a hawk due to temp spikes. I recently bought the Brinsea Eco 20 and it made my life much easier. I only got 14 chicks from four groups of shipped eggs but bought some size a adult seramas and was lucky enough to get eggs from them that I have been hatching. I also have a few size b and c's in a separate coop and a huge amount of those hatch. I may have gotten a little carried away but I see a lot of roos in the group so maybe it's a good thing.

Of course I want more bloodlines in my flock so let me know when you get eggs.

I'm also saving room for a frizzled and a silkied serama.

I saw on a past post that someone on here had gotten some seramas from Grady Taylor and saw that he lives less than an hour from me!! Woo hoo! I was hoping to find some nearby that would not have to be shipped. I spoke to him just now and I will be visiting him to learn more about them and to make sure I am a good match with seramas. I just want some as pets but I want to make sure I am set up correctly to give them a proper home! I am so excited. Hopefully I will be able to visit this weekend. I have never seen a serama in person and can't wait!

The Twins ~ One has more Silver feathers and one has more Buffish colored feathers. It hard to tell...but their is a tad bit of differents in the feather colors.

After your post, I did some looking at the japanese and OEGB and I see now the difference. OEGB have longer legs and the wings are short/compact. Japanese have short legs and long wings like a serama.
