~MALAYSIAN SERAMA THREAD~ (PICS!!!)

I keep describing them as a cross between a chicken and a dove! That's the closest I can get to telling people how they are. I have a hen who has never made a "chicken-like" noise. She also never shuts up! It's all chirps and whistles, and warbles. All my Seramas are entertaining!

Everyone thinks I'm insane for hatching so many (and maybe I am), but I know that's the only way to really make progress. I bought some very good stock to start with, but I know full well that breeders don't sell their best stock, so what I started with, while very desirable, isn't perfect. I expect a few of this generation will be show quality, many will be valuable as breeders, and some will be straight up pet quality!

So true.... that's probably why I don't have breeding ambitions!

I was messing w/ my Seramas this evening and my little cockeral, Toughnut, stuck out his chest and gave me a good bite on the hand...

He is so tiny and adorable I couldn't do anything but just laugh and say he was a cute little Mr. ....but if that had of been one of my LF roosters..that wouldn't have been a pretty sight!

I was messing w/ my Seramas this evening and my little cockeral, Toughnut, stuck out his chest and gave me a good bite on the hand...

He is so tiny and adorable I couldn't do anything but just laugh and say he was a cute little Mr. ....but if that had of been one of my LF roosters..that wouldn't have been a pretty sight!

Haha! I had one of my roos do this tonight. I picked him up and held him on his back and tickled him. He started crowing, LOL! I've never seen one try so hard to look tough while being cuddled!​

They're so cute!! I just love mine!

My little rooster is sooooo cute. I can't wait for him to start crowing!

He ( and his three sisters ) are 4 m/o.
