~MALAYSIAN SERAMA THREAD~ (PICS!!!)

Oh heavens, most young Serama can walk through chain link material and the space where the panels are put together is another spot for them to walk through besides around the gate. You can use chicken wire to fix those spots and it's not a bad idea to run small chicken wire all the way around the lower half of the sides.

I use the 1/2 inch hardware cloth...keeps predators out and tiny Serama in!

I use 1/2" hardware cloth on anything outside...snakes are small enough to go through poultry wire and large enough to kill Serama. It's also strong enough that large preditors can't tear through it...unfortunately, it is expensive. I've had 3 attacks (that I know of) on my outside grow-out pens in the last year...tore up plastic and shadecloth, but didn't make it through the hardware cloth...as secure as Ft. Knox and everybody safe.

I have to agree. I spent the money up front to prevent bigger losses down the road! I rest easy knowing that nothing can get in and my birds are safe!

Thought I would share a picture of my new girl. I am now grandma to her parents as a good friend of mine owns them and is their mom now.

I have been wanting to add a choc frizzle pullet to my upcoming choc group for next years breeding. I think she is a great start.

If she develops enough by fall as she is still very young I will take her out to a few shows and see how she does.

Can't wait to see what she looks like in a couple more months.

Not a great pic as we are still getting acquainted with each other.

great looking cocoapop rooster love the color even in frizzle very nice BTW for local SoCal looking for cocoapop color bloodline to add to your breeding program I have a batch to sell off cause I will be back on the road again next week so dont miss out and yes they do breed true to color see for your self this is a fact and parents to these chicks are their for you to look at they are going for 35 each chick and will be more when full grown just pm me if your interested in them https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=503331&p=19

LASeramas KP - YOU did not breed the chick you are claiming is cocopop in the other thread. That chick was bred by Cara! You cannot claim something breeds true to color when you did not breed it, do not own the parents, and it is a first generation!!! That is extremely misleading. Unless you are looking for lawsuits, I HIGHLY advise you to not tell or advertise something is "true to color" unless it has been bred and produced that way for many generations. MHO

wow didnt see this tell now anyway you should open your eyes read the post I never said the pullet that cara breed was from my breeding once again time and time again you try and puts words in my mouth that I never type out lol other members can read the thread and post and tell me if im saying what im saying no more or less kate I say that this is the color to look for when breed cocoapop together and what hen you should use cause I didnt take pics of the hen that are mom to these little guy so i say example kate not that the pullet was from my breeding what so ever funny thing keep it up just show how try to put this and that into someones mouth ....... funny lol

No offense guys but if you want to bicker please take it off the board!! We like this thread and have enjoyed it for a very long time. It would be shame to see it shut down over some stupid color issues with a few of you in CA... You are already arguing on one thread please don't bring it over here too!!!
