I sent an actual email asking those questions I'll let you know when he emails me back.

As for being tender I dont think they are as bad as people think. Ours stay in a shed with a heat lamp and they are able to go outside but rarely do except on warm winter days. It only gets about 35 to 40 degrees F in the shed at the warmest.

Just received an answer, as of RIGHT NOW leg and toe color does not matter there is no DQ. Although, if/when we are entered to into the APA/ABA yellow is specific but a swarthy yellow MIGHT be accepted in the case of Blacks all other colors will be a DQ.

Still awaiting an answer on the ear color. I have never heard that white ears are a DQ or no no but then again I have never had any with white ears so I guess I wouldnt have. This whole "standard" is like

GOT AN OFFICIAL ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

According to what is being entered to the APA/ABA via SCNAONLINE.ORG
Yellow Legs and Toes - A swarthy yellow in black only may be accepted but there HAS NOT been a decision yet so if breeding for standard go for yellow only and you'll be safe.
Ear lobes, comb, wattles bright red all other are a DQ.

So there ya go. If your breeding to sell/show we now know for sure what to keep and what to cull if your breeding cuz you love Serama and they are pet quality only, who cares they are all beautiful birds regardless of their ear/wattle/leg/feet/beak colors but thats just MY opinion lol.

I agree, some kinda wheaten-esque. I have tons of them here!

Thank you Abbey2140 , That was great information . I don't quite get what swarthy yellow is , but thats ok . I know they aren't as tender as people think . Sarge is going on 3 and he is still just as spry and healthy as if he was a cockeral . I love the breed and wont give up on them , but do wish I had more of a chance to let them strutt their stuff at a show .
