the nesting boxes on either end are resting on a board which is the first perch, I then screwed another 1 by 2 in between the nest boxes to create another higher perch closer to window level so they can see the great outdoors lol

Oh WOW!!! That is one of the coolest setups I've ever seen for indoor birds!! Thank you for sharing that. I hadn't even thought of covering the cage...been a long time since I had caged birds in the house. Does covering them until you get up in the morning help cut down the chances the roos will crow and wake you up too early? lol

It doesn't keep them from crowing early but it helps keep the dust contained which is awesome. When its time for them to go to bed i just draw the curtains and off to the roost they go lol.

Pbjmaker, I would love to come build you one but my vehicle probably wouldn't make it to iowa lol. It was very inexpensive to make and simple. Its 3 ft wide by 3 ft tall by 5 ft long, the walls only go up 2 ft the rest is chicken wire wrapped around the sides and top so in the summer when its not raining out i can put them outside to enjoy the sunshine

Yes it is sitting on a dining room table we had in the garage. I was toying with the idea of making it 2 levels, one on top and one underneith but my DH is NOT easliy persueded lol

Are any of the Texas Serama breeders going to the Texas BlueBonnet Classics in College Station, Texas. I hope that there will be some serama breeders showing and selling some Seramas.I want to buy some diffrent blood lines or even a pair of silkie seramas. A few more seramas won't hurt my collection.
