She is a little sweetie - and I mean little. I have 3 very, very tiny ones in this last hatch. She came from Chickenzoo along with 4 others ones from this hatch - including a Mille Fleur marked one and the rest came from Pearlysue. They both have frizzled and silkied pens so I'm hoping to get at least some! My other 6 Seramas came from Pamperedpoultry and Mimis_place. I just got another 8 eggs from Mimis_place and box of 24 booted, frizzled, silkied and smooth eggs from an ebay seller who has amazing packing skills. I'm very excited about that batch especially since it will be my last one till fall probably.

And yep, the sleeping photo is her passed out while she was walking. We have one where she is just starting to go down and then that one - plop!

We finally got our first silkied serama chick! I couldn't tell that it was silkied feathered for about 2 weeks but now today when I was filling the chicks food and water, you could tell that the feathers looked different than the other chicks.
Here is a pic of the father:

I'm thinking about getting some seramas. I love them! I live in Northern NJ & it's pretty cold here in the winter. Would they survive without bringing them in? I don't have any extra room inside for chickens.

Anyone incubate Serama eggs in egg cartons? I've had success with other eggs, including Silkies, in the egg cartons but was wondering if the Serama eggs are too small for the carton method?
