~MALAYSIAN SERAMA THREAD~ (PICS!!!)

I have 2 roos in the house now. My older one only starts crowing when he hears us get up. The younger one is just learning to crow. They are no noisier than some parrots, but the younger ones I hatched over the winter would wake up at 3 or 4 a.m. and start then. I can't have roos outside, so mine have to stay in the house. It's a small sacrifice to have such great pets.

I have two roos and 4 hens in the house, I keep them in the basement and when they crow it sounds like a small pupy down there. They are not near as loud as my cockatoo and the four little dogs.

We have a tri-level house with a full basement. I seem to have a few chickens down there for some reason or other.

Whenever we have overnight guests I tease them about not needing an alarm clock. When the roos start crowing the sound travels up the vents into all bedrooms...

Muddy,
Aw shoot! Did you at least put my address on as second place to deliver them to if they don't get to your house?? humm?

I hate it when that happens. I bought some Araucana hatching eggs and they finally got here but were no good after being on the road for over a week. I wish a company would pop up that shipped only live stuff, animals, eggs etc. Of course then, there would be so much red tape that it would cost a fortune so I guess we just deal with it.

Mine are all finally out of the garage. It's the perfect place for them in the winter, there are windows for light, it's heated but not warm, just not freezing, plenty of room and all but just not the outside/fresh air that's so good. I have 2 outside pens, sort of like rabbit hutches and a couple cages in the barn but I hope to have them all outside this summer and I plan to put the cages in a grouping so that I can surround them with dog pen panels and a top so they can take turns being on the ground this summer.

many people think they have malaysian seramas but in reality they have american seramas. malaysian seramas are rare in the us and are much smaller than american seramas. i guarantee over 99.9% of these seramas are american seramas not malaysian seramas.
