I was the one asking about the color of one of your curlies. See my curlie?? She looks a lot like yours in color.

What colors are the others if anyone can help? The boys remind me of calicos. My large male has dark brown, black, and white. My young one is tan, light black, and white. As for the female I have no idea. She has almost a lace to her feathers? Is that what you would call it?

I think if you read a little bit about the "borrowed genes" Seramas have it would explain a lot of why they do not breed true to color or size

I have seen more then a few looked like they had jap tails and OE colors

The buffs, on the other hand, are fairly consistant. They hatch yellow or brown, and they develop beige feathering that covers the black. The one in the middle has chocolate to dilute the black, which is what I want. If I can't get rid of the black, I'd rather it looked brown.

Catwalk, do any of their parents carry cocopop gene??? They look similar to some of my cocopop cockerel at that age.....btw, both cockerels looking goo.

I don't know what a cocopop gene is. The cocopop thread has been less than informative.....

TI have a pumpkin male, but he has nothing to do with these two.

Mine go into lockdown on the 15th - 32 out of 35 alive and kicking right now...the first ones from my own lines. It's very exciting! I'm actually shipping out my first egg order today too...another one next week. I can't wait to see the babies my babies produce
