she's a mix of a lot of stuff... i see wheaton based, columbian gene, pattern gene, silver gene, melanised gene... and that chick kind of looks like a mottled or mille fleur... but silver... maybe a spangle...?

that hen doesn't have a name for her pattern... unless you call her a silver penciled ginger quail...

That's a mouth full Gumbi!

Wow, I have really enjoyed looking at everyone's birds! Being 'out in the middle of nowhere', I rarely get to see them in person, so pictures are the next best thing...

Regarding color in seramas, I'm beginning to think I'm a lost cause at looking at a bird and saying it's "so and so and so"...Kudos to all of you who can do that! I read and read and read, but it's still beyond me...

I'm posting a pic of a boy from my Christmas Hatch, "Crackle"...He's six months old and weighs 11.8 ounces, and he has pretty good type for his age. His color, I think, is a variation of a black-tailed buff...If anyone knows for sure, please correct me...

Also, just wanted to mention that I have some birds up for sale...http://www.pixiechickens.com/seramas-for-sale/...if anyone is interested, including a couple of whites...

He looks like the female version of wheaten! Can you believe that I only found one photo of a BTB bird on the ABA website? Although he has several shades of buff in him, like your bird, the Jap on ABA has an entire black tail, including some black in his wings. Maybe Crackle is a regular buff?

I don't know!
