Hatchingfever,
I wouldn't give them antibiotics unless you knew they were ill. Dying doesn't mean they have a treatable illness. Unfortunately, the only thing antibiotics are good for are bacterial infections. Stress, heat, poor nutrition, dehydration from lack of water, worms, mites, etc do not respond to antibiotics and antiobiotics can cause their own set of problems. You really need to find out what is going on before treating unless their illness is obvious. If you feel you need to keep them on the antibiotics, at least add some probiotics to the meal so they don't go down.

Exactly, no one's fault at all, it just happens, sadly. The little girl I lost was Tammy, a chocolate gene carrier. I only had her a couple weeks but I really loved her and was looking forward to possibly some chocolate or chocolate gene carrying babies. I am just sad for the loss of her. She was a beautiful little girl.

I got some chocolate if you need them I can send them to you when weather is better and not so hot just hatch out four more chocolate today ...

Really? You would do that?? I would so love that....Thank you! Chocolate and solid white are the two colors I want to add to my little flock. Yes, please keep me in mind when the weather is better, I'd love them.

this is very sound advise, Jake is young and listens to to many people confuses himself!!! Jake if you slow down and be sensable things will be more fluid for you, i know you are excited but some time you need to sit back and RELAX!!! When yougot your first serama i said good this will be a learning experience, for you then you got excited and frantic to buy and get as many as you can, I did it to, i was trying to give some guidance, but i guess some lessons need to be learned in person!!

i was taken with your comment on the WD40 sprayed on the rear of the chicken. Please tell me more about this as I have never seen this recommended in anything I've read but it seems like a simple procedure. I have one hen with not a lot of feathers on her rear and sometimes very red skin. I have dusted her with wound powder to try to sooth it for her. I've inspected her and there are no mites or other insects. Would the WD40 help?

Ruthless,
Here is my cockerel by Blu-T at hatching

Here he is at 21 days......no doubt about this one being a cockerel is there? He's a happy lil guy. Amazing how they change in 21 days isn't it? He will be for sale since he's not what I'm working on. Not sure exactly what color he is but he is guaranteed to be a different color by 4 to 6 months old,

And I just put 6+ hatching eggs up for sale in the Buy it now category if anyone is interested. I filled an order for 24 eggs and had quite a few left over. I won't be hatching till next week again so I'd like to find them a home!
