Nope. They are african crested cranes.

we have sand hill cranes at Creamer some, its a field thing we go to (i forget what its called but it has a path that your not allowed to go off of and it goes into the woods, your not allowed to go off the path since geese and migrating birds forage in the field) and they have sandhill cranes... i wish i could steal one but your only allowed to hunt them and you have to get a special permit and have to do all this stuff just to hunt ONE, and they dont even taste good, they would make a better pet then a meal

We young 'ns are allowed big dreams, and who knows, some of us actually get there.

I fell in love with them as a child at the Denver zoo and I have dreamed of owning a pair ever since.

my dream was always to have a home on acreage and a big red barn and I finally got it! It took longer than planned and its only 2 acres... but like my hubby says... this is a start, we will get a bigger place later. So don't give up on your dreams... just be prepared to go a round about way to get to them... even if it means putting them on hold due to the economy...

im only 25 lol what birds do you keep at the moment? most of my mates think i have a screw loose or two i want a good quail farm by this time next year thats my dream, maybe a couple more exotic birds to go with it

As a teenager I had chickens, ducks, geese, guineas, turkeys, and for awhile, pheasants. They were entirely mine, I took care of them and paid for everything. Now that I'm out on my own I only have 8 pretty little bantam hens but someday I want to buy acreage and build my dream "farm".

i'd love to be in the south of france with a vinyard and a farm with my own food growing and my chickens and others hahaha love it! i got into it only recently, to try and become a bit more self-sufficient so decided one day on a whim to buy some fertile eggs and make an incubator, now i have 15 quail...and 14 incubating :S

I'm not 100% sure where I want to locate to lol. Just some place with water would be nice lol. I live in the desert. BTW have you ever heard of earth ships? I think you would love them. Just google them and they come right up.

i've been reading up on them just now on wikipedia lol never had heard of them before wonder how much they cost to buy?
i'd love something like that, you wouldn't have to worry about bills lol hope it has wifi access though hahaha.
bad thing about it is you'd have Greenpeace practically making love to your windows everyday and environmentalists scattered on your lawn
im moving in march literally so i can have a garden, collect rainwater for my crops, start keeping chickens and have a "catch my own" fishpond where i'll create an atmosphere where they can hopefully reproduce, i think that'll have to do for now bet them hopes are above $300,000
