Male or female? No talons?

We have an adolescent peafowl & we are arguing over if it's a boy or girl. I have thought it's a boy all along however it has been pointed out that it has no talons. Can someone help me with sexing our "Baby"?

With that barring, I'd say he's definitely a boy By talons I'm thinking you mean spurs? Usually those don't develop until they are yearlings, and females can get them too.

There was a debate here for awhile now about this baby being a boy or girl. I said its a boy all along. However it not having talons was the confusing part.
Then Ive read about peafowl turning from female to male after they are over a year, but never a male turning to a female.
So now we have 2 other sets of babies. One momma has 2 bigger babies & another momma has 3 littler babies. Out of these 5 only 1 is a boy.
We have about 40 free roaming peafowl here & probally 25 of them are female.

A hen for my boy would be nice but I’m to far
